Unreal Engine Community News (Week 19)

This week, we're spotlighting two impressive community-driven Unreal Engine 5 projects that showcase the power of real-time rendering and creativity across different industries.

UE5-Powered Digital Twin of EDGE Liverpool Street

SpaceForm’s recent video demonstrates how Unreal Engine 5 is being used to visualize a zero-carbon office building set to open in East London in 2029. Using a custom CAD-to-UE pipeline and real-world data from Google Earth, they’ve created a fully interactive digital twin of the upcoming EDGE Liverpool Street development.

The experience allows stakeholders, future tenants, and the public to explore the building virtually—navigating with Xbox controllers and viewing the real-world surroundings from any window. The interiors are fully customizable and designed to reflect client branding.

Unreal Engine 5 Realistic Trailer – BLOOMS OF ARACHNIS

IndyStry’s latest personal project, Blooms of Arachnis, is a cinematic trailer created for the KitBash3D Secrets Of Luminara challenge. Developed in just three months while balancing a full-time job, this five-minute short made it into the top 10 out of over 10,000 entries.

The trailer features high-end visuals, original voice acting, detailed environments, and custom MetaHuman rigs. It’s a strong example of what small, independent teams can achieve using Unreal Engine for storytelling and world-building.
